Pan-Seared Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 package of 14 ounce firm tofu (I buy from Trader Joe’s)

  • 1 tablespoon coconut aminos (I buy from Whole Foods)

  • Spices to taste (onion powder and garlic powder)

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the tofu.

  2. Pat the tofu dry with a paper towel to remove excess water.

  3. Cut into small, bite-sized cubes.

  4. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray.

  5. Carefully add the tofu in a single layer to the pan over medium to high heat.

  6. Sear the larger sides of the tofu for 5 minutes each. After the first side is seared, add garlic powder and onion powder.

  7. Add the coconut aminos then turn off the stove immediately and mix around the tofu.

  8. Serve over a salad or with your favorite veggie and enjoy!
