"Amanda started helping me with my nutrition based on my sugar levels rising too high. I’ve had type 2 diabetes for about 6 years and the sugar levels go up and down depending on how I eat. This time, my levels jumped to the highest they’ve ever been. Amanda then became my health coach and helped me to change my entire way of eating. I started working with Amanda after my annual physical results came back and my cholesterol was high. I was not really feeling the best about myself, my weight and found I was having a lot of stomach issues most likely due to my eating habits. I found Amanda via a NYC instagram account and I reached out. Her positivity and willingness to help is what immediately drew me in and we were able to work out a schedule to begin sessions.
I cannot say how beneficial these sessions were for me, I've always enjoyed eating and have been a snacker. With Amanda's knowledge and coaching we were able to walk through some of my favorite foods and snacks and find better, more clean brands to replace the processed stuff with, also while learning how my daily meals and plates should look. We worked together for a few months and during that time I learned so much about cleaner eating and better, less processed food brands. These small changes made such a difference and were pretty immediate and noticed that my stomach issues were subsiding.
On this path of better and more clean eating I got myself back into a gym routine as well. I had a physical again for the year and happy to report back now that I am down 12lbs and 41 POINTS in cholesterol, which is no longer high.
I cannot give enough credit to working with Amanda and how much her coaching helped me get back to a better me. I continually refer back to our outlines that were sent to me, after each weekly session we had, and I spread the knowledge of the great clean brands she has introduced me to.
